A Belle Époque château at the foot of the Pyrenees

Welcome

Unwind completely, or set out for adventure

A private 1890s château for up to fifteen guests, with a pool, sauna and jacuzzi, two resident staff, and the Pyrenees on the horizon.

To unwind

Wake late and take breakfast on the terrace. Spend the afternoon between the pool and the shade of the giant sequoia, then finish the day in the sauna and the heated jacuzzi before dinner on the terrace.

For adventure

Hike to the waterfall at Lac d’Oô, raft the Neste, ski at Peyragudes or paraglide over the valleys. Be home through the gates by evening for a swim and a barbecue.

The region

The château sits in the Comminges, a green, unhurried corner of southwest France where Romanesque villages, mountain lakes and spa towns lie within an hour of each other. Writers have long found inspiration here, from Victor Hugo to Paulo Coelho, author of The Alchemist, who kept a home in these mountains for many years and set part of By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept in a Pyrenean village. Our guests understand why.

The region

The Comminges, at the foot of the Pyrenees

Montréjeau stands above the Garonne valley, with the Pyrenees stretched across the southern horizon. Around it lie Romanesque churches, painted caves, green valleys and mountain lakes, and the Spanish border is about half an hour’s drive away.

Retreats, events & collaborations

A house built for gathering

We believe in small and newer businesses, and in giving people with a vision the chance to bring it to life. If you’re planning a retreat, workshop or gathering of your own, we’d love to hear from you.

Our offer to hosts

Hold your date, with no deposit

Filling a retreat takes time, and paying a deposit before you’ve sold a single place is a risk many new hosts can’t take. So for the right event, we may be able to hold your dates for a month without a deposit while you sell your spaces.

  1. 1

    Tell us your idea

Share your event, the dates you have in mind and how many guests you hope to welcome.

  2. 2

    We hold your date

If it’s a good fit, we reserve the château for you for one month, with no deposit, while you promote your event.

  3. 3

    Confirm or release

Reach full capacity in the agreed time and we confirm your booking. If you don’t, we simply release the date at no charge.

Every proposal is considered individually. Tell us about your event.
